Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. The first time she worked for ESPN in 2016. The child of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since the age of nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her land her first job as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was then recruited as a reporter by the CBS station to work as a sports journalist. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting on KNVO TV 48 Univision. Reports on her show covered immigration issues, drug trafficking, and others on the Texas and Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as a Spanish reporter on the newscast at 5 p.m., an anchor and reporter on the newscast of nine p.m. on English and again a Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. Anchor duties for weather or sports were often demanded. She was then anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given greater responsibilities. She did pieces on the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was the producer of Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor. She also served as the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. In addition, she served as anchor of the sports segment on Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd, 1985, in Mexico City. There is a sister. She has an older sister. Within a brief time her father separated from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in 2006. It was during a summer vacation that she stayed with her sibling living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured an employment. Antonietta who was in high school who had a vision of how she would like her life to be, visited Mount Union University in order to find out if the school suited her. The campus was beautiful as well as offered the level of education she wanted. She finished school and enrolled at the university as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU, of which she is a member. They had a very close connection. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her confidence, and his passion in Journalism touched her deeply. She determined to meet his demands, never letting him down.
